I’ve been training for over 30 years now. A milestone that I never expected or planned. However many times over the years I’ve attended seminars with people that we experts in their field. At Culver Karate Club in Connellsville we’ve got experts in the field of Shotokan Karate, Jujitsu, MMA and Aerobic Kickboxing. Over the [...] Hey, I’ve talked about goals before and I’m sure everyone forgets that they set resolutions and never started on them or maybe put them off till January 2nd and then January 3rd and then basically forgot all about them because that’s what we do! I set several resolutions which are still in the realm of [...] I’ve heard all kinds of math and equations explaining power, direction of moves, how much a person spins in a jump kick and even Einsteins theory E=m(c)2. Yeah I’ve heard different versions of Einstein’s theory like E(energy) = m(mass) x [c (speed)x c (speed)]. I’ve learned that breathing out on impact lessens the severity of [...] You know, I’ve heard the expression that at a certain age the best compliment is “you don’t look that old”. Yeah, I’ve gotten that for years. Even when I was a kid, other than my size which I was usually one of the tallest in my classes. I guess I always had a baby face [...] I’ve never considered myself anyone special. I started karate with no real expectations but it was always something that I wanted to do. I went to tournaments and tried hard and would be happy when I would even receive a piece of paper instead of a trophy and when I started winning regularly I still [...] I’ve recently talked to a student that had long ago left my school. He was an awesome student and went on to continue his progression in the martial arts. When he came to me he had trained with a person that had advanced him too quickly and he did not know nearly what I wanted [...] How can we start the year with a WOW? Everyone makes New Years Resolutions and everyone forget about them soon after they make them. Do you remember what you promised yourself last year. Probably pretty easy, loose weight.
