My youngest son is coming home!

Gregg, my youngest son is done with his studies in Germany.  He’s done his things his way and everyone who knows him has to be proud or at least impressed.

Gregg decided to go to Indiana University of Pennsylvania to study in dual majors in German and Geography (are you Kidding me?) which he graduated with a 4.0 in both.  Huh, can’t be my kid!  Did I forget to mention he took his first year after high school to go to Switzerland as an exchange student.  There he lived with a German speaking family and became very proficient in the German language.  When he started at Indiana he applied to an exchange program within the university.  Gregg went his sophomore year to Sweden to the Malmo University in Malmo Sweden and spent a semester studying there.  Funny thing was while studying in Malmo a German student asked him how he learned English so well.  His German was so good that they thought he was from Germany.

Now he’s completing his Masters Degree which he’s done at Berlin University and will soon be coming home.   However one of the reason he’s coming home is to go to the University of Wisconsin and enter their doctoral progam and also work as a graduate  teaching assistant.  He’s really done awesome and everyone is proud of him and if you think you can’t accomplish look at someone who has.  He’s taken the road less traveled and has done it with a smile.

Congrats Son,

Dad

PS.  Talk about ESP – Gregg called from Germany while I was typing this.  There is a force in the world that we don’t fully understand.  Nuff said on that!
