My Karate Training
When most people think of Karate they only think of fighting. Karate is actually a way of life and so it goes far beyond just being a martial art. In karate we learn ways that we could defend ourselves if we should be attacked by someone; however we also get exercise, friendships, and a deep feeling of accomplishment. I was training at Culver Karate Club for about four years before I tested for my black belt, and I’m still training. I have been training now for about seven years and achieving my black belt is a great accomplishment that I’m very proud of; however I know I still have more to learn about karate. I have two Associates degrees and have almost completed a Bachelors degree , but the accomplishments I have made and will make in karate will be life long. I believe, that how you achieve perfection in karate is to train and make your training a part of who you are as a person. What I’ve learned is very personal to me and if I never have to to defend myself using what I’ve learned in karate , I would consider that a great success in my life. Thanks Sensei.
