Goal Setting - Achievement

Achievement is the end result of all the planning, hard work and toil put into your goal setting.  If you choose the right goal you will enjoy the benefits of the achievement.

What do you need to get the desired end results:

  1. Have a Worthy and Achievable goal.
  2. Create a Plan with the goal (major goal) and a set of minor goals that will help you achieve the major goal. This is your road map to success.
  3. Write it down and constantly refer back to it to keep on track.
  4. Make it Important.  It’ s a Quest!
  5. Announce it to your family and friends, they can be very helpful and supportive in your Quest.  Family and friends can sometimes be negative, so if that is the case, either don’t tell them or use I’ll show you thinking, but don’t say that to them.  Enjoy it when you make them a believer.
  6. Set a time frame to give yourself a sense of urgency.
  7. Get a teacher, coach or mentor.  Don’t forget to include private instruction where applicable.
  8. Get a partner if possible.  Partners with the same goals in mind can really help each other.  Partner training can make your Quest more fun too.
  9. Check other resources (books, magazines, videos).  Learn some tricks of some of the masters but often they don’t give up too much in media, sometimes it’s best to get personal training.  A personal trainer can fix things before they become a bad habit.
  10. Constantly check and recheck your progress towards your mini and major goals, and revise your time frame and goals and minor goals if necessary.  Don’t be too upset if you have to do a major overhaul, key word is achievable.
  11. Now that you’ve done it right, get humping! Don’t stop till you’ve not only hit the goal but you’ve smashed right through it.
  12. Lastly have fun.  Especially when you’ve hit that goal and you’ve shown the world.

Gotta love it!
